Careers in Forestry – Forester

The Wisconsin DNR has a wide array of forestry staff who help care for the state’s 17 million acres of forest resources. These jobs include technology specialists, forest health experts, wildland firefighters, field foresters and more!

Jill Nemec is one of those people who work to protect and enhance our natural resources. As a Forester, Jill educates the public on fire prevention and works with landowners to develop their property. She also helps local counties with their forestry management plans and works to make sure their objectives are being met.
