Big Bone Lick State Park is a fantastic stop for your travel bucket list. The fossilized remains of giant mastodons, wooly mammoths, and ground sloths were discovered here in 1739. Visit natural salt springs, see live bison, and hike on the same trails that Meriwether Lewis took!
We stayed at the local campground which offers full hookups and sits right by the museum. With the history of discovery around every trail in the area you will have plenty of interesting sites to keep you busy!
